Borqs Technologies introduces BeSmartTrack™ for tracing COVID-19 virus
Lately, China-based leading developer of software application for IoT (Internet of Things) Borqs Technologies Inc. has gained significant attention upon launching its mobile smart tracking solution called BeSmartTrack™. The launch event reportedly took place in Taiwan, the product is aimed at catering to the international demand of tracing and tracking the aggressively spreading COVID-19 virus.
Sources close to the matter state that the tracking solution is being deployed with cellular IoT technology of Cat-M1, a leading mobile carrier network operator based in Taiwan. The new software offers a broad spectrum of features including location history, geofencing, and real-time tracking solutions.
Speaking of the platforms, BeSmartTrack™ servers will be deployable on cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web services and Azure, cites sources. The solution also includes web portals and companion applications for iOS and Android smartphones and is currently being used in Taiwan for tracking garbage disposal as well as senior citizens.
Sources further claimed that the end-user trackers will support multiple cellular technologies such as LTE and LTE IoT (Cat-M for 5G, NB-IoT), which further complies with Borqs’ goal of providing location tracking solutions with high accuracy and power efficiency.
The company reportedly plans on commercializing BeSmartTrack™ for general consumers as well as in various industry verticals such as child safety, senior well-being, pet & asset tracking, and healthcare among others. Apparently, the tracking solution can be customized with respect to the deployment-specific requirements.
