Deutsche Telekom and Teradata join forces to expand their portfolio

By Akshay Kedari

Teradata, an innovative cloud intelligence company that has been offering clients with intelligent, real-time answers using 100% relevant data, has recently inked a strategic partnership with telecom giant Deutsche Telekom at Digital X in Germany.

Reportedly, the conference include the presence of Hagen Rickmann, Director of Business Customers in Telekom Deutschland and Oliver Ratzesberger, CEO and President of Teradata. According to reliable sources, the venture will back the digital transformation objectives of SMBs in Germany, offering firms a gateway to the vast potential of data analytics to deliver required insights for innovation and growth.

Moreover, by integrating the strengths of Deutsche Telekom and Teradata, consumers would benefit from an end-to-end offering and dual technology expertise.

For the uninitiated, Teradata provides advanced software for data analytics and owns years of experience in business consulting and data science. Meanwhile, Deutsche Telekom offers a demand-driven infrastructure, comprehensive cloud ecosystem, IT security and IoT solutions and highly secure data centers over Telekom network.

As per reports, Deutsche Telekom is combining Teradata Vantage, a leading analytics solution created by Teradata, into its portfolio of IT solutions. Moreover, it will offer German SMBs with an exceptionally efficient and easy gateway to data analytics, avoiding the technological complications which had earlier proven to become a barrier.

Supposedly, Vantage helps users to analyze huge amounts of cloud data from a broad range of sources such as machines, sensors, social media or smartphones in real-time. Sources suggest that, by employing tools like machine learning for AI, SMBs could find solutions for business-critical questions, helping them to make data-driven decisions.

According to a statement, Hagen Rickmann said that this collaboration introduces SMBs to those data analysis tools which were previously available in large organizations. He claims that, by integrating its strengths with Teradata’s expertise, their firm can offer inexpensive solutions built particularly for its customers.
