Lamborghini India posts 86% growth with highest-ever sales in 2021
Lamborghini India reportedly recorded an 86% growth in 2021 as compared to the previous year. The supercar manufacturer completed the delivery of 69 cars this year, according to the Head of Lamborghini India, Sharad Agarwal.
The company’s strong growth was attributed to new product launches and better customer engagement initiatives in 2021, Agarwal stated. He also expects the company to maintain this momentum in 2022.
The Italian automaker claims to have reached its fastest 100 cars milestone in the luxury car segment after it delivered the 100th Urus in India. Moreover, it had attained the cumulative sales milestone of 300 cars the previous year.
Notably, the Volkswagen-owned Group unveiled four new models in India in 2021. These were Urus Pearl Capsule, Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder, Huracan STO, and Urus Graphite Capsule.
The automaker also said that it had achieved a couple of other milestones last year, which boosted its consumer engagement ratios and grabbed more public attention.
One of these milestones was the participation of 50 Lamborghini models in the Esperienza GIRO in Delhi, Shimla, and Chandigarh, which was a 550 km long drive. The 50 Lamborghinis reportedly drove 1500 km on Lamborghini Day in 2021.
The company also claimed that its cars traveled to the Umling La pass, which is one of the highest motorable points to which Lamborghinis have ever traveled.
Giving his opinion on the 2021 sales performance of Lamborghini India and its expectations in 2022, Agarwal stated that the company will continue to focus on three main pillars for the Indian market.
The plan will include the pioneering of customer experience by creating exclusive experiences for both its prospects and customers; introducing new models faster, and expanding its reach to new geographies in India to drive consistent growth.
