McAfee and Fujitsu join hands to provide secure computing experience

California-based computer security software company McAfee Corp. has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (FCCL) in an effort to deliver state-of-the-art consumer security solutions to FCCL device users.

For the record, McAfee LiveSafe is an award-winning software that is known to protect computers against viruses and online threats. It specializes in providing a comfortable user experience and enables consumers to understand, access, and utilize the protections required. It is also equipped with identity and privacy protection features as well as a VPN.

If sources are to be believed, the prevalence of cyber threats has increased drastically since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. McAfee Labs had reported that around 648 cyber threats per minute during the fourth quarter of 2020.

This COVID-19 related cyber-attack detection has also risen by 240% in the third quarter and 114% in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Pedro Gutierrez, Senior Vice President Global Consumer Sales & Operations at McAfee, reportedly said that FCCL understands that it is essential for their consumers to have advanced security systems in place to provide relevant protection against potential hackers. He further added that this partnership with Fujitsu Client Computing Limited has allowed the company’s PC users to stay highly secured against digital threats.

Shinji Yoshida, Head of Product Related Services Business Unit at Fujitsu Client Computing Limited mentioned that by joining hands the two companies intend to deliver high-quality solutions for all consumers across the globe.

In other news, Fujitsu Limited recently entered a strategic business alliance with NTT Corporation to develop an energy-efficient digital society by making significant advancements in the mobile communication and optical transport fields.
