Samsung Electronics has reportedly launched a new 43-inch M7 smart monitor which is powered by the renowned Tizen operating system and can support ultra-high definition resolution. The recent development reflects on the South Korean tech giant's intentions of expanding its smart monitor line up to cater to the growing demand for all-in-one displays.

The new 43-inch M7 monitor, which supports 65W charging via a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 4.2, will be offered at USD 575 in South Korea. It will also be equipped with a solar-powered remote control.

According to Samsung, the white edition of the M5 monitor that was first launched in South Korea in May has now been made available globally. The M5 is available in 27-inch and 32-inch variants with high-definition resolution.

The new lineup of smart monitors will allow users to stream their various content on YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, without needing to connect to a mobile device or personal computer, the company claimed. These new monitors can also be voice-controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung Bixby.

Samsung stated that the newly launched monitors will offer better connectivity options for smartphones and PCs since they support several features such as Samsung DeX and Apple AirPlay 2.

If market speculations are right, the global monitor market is likely to reach 150 million units this year, with a 7.3% increase as compared to the previous year. The newly introduced smart monitor lineup will help Samsung reinforce its presence in this business domain.

Although Samsung is considering reducing the panel supply of its subsidiary Samsung Display, the South Korean tech giant intends to magnify its share in the monitor market since last year, cited experts keeping track of the company.

It is expected that Samsung's monitor shipment for the year 2021 will record an annual growth rate of 20%, which is likely to be the highest among the top monitor manufacturers
