Turning Point Brands offers free sanitizer bottles to combat COVID-19

From offering medical aids to donating funds, many companies worldwide have come forward to help governments and people to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus. Recently, Turning Point Brands, one of the leading tobacco product manufacturers in the U.S., made a similar move as it announced plans to remodel selected manufacturing facilities to deliver free hand sanitizers to people in Tennessee and California, Kentucky.

Sources cite that Nu-X Ventures, a division of Turning Point, is leveraging the company’s manufacturing resources to deliver, produce, and supply free hand sanitizer bottles over the next few weeks to locals. Apparently, Nu-X has already distributed thousands of sanitizer bottles and bulk gallons in an emergency production run to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Lorenzo De Plano, Sr. Director of Nu-X, said that the company saw an opportunity to help and contribute. Nu-X hopes that other organizations with the capacity would follow the same.

As per sources, Turning Point Brands’ two vans will offer Nu-X products around LA (Los Angeles) area each day until all existing inventory is exhausted. The company is also planning to provide required materials to other firms out of their Louisville, Kentucky facility.

Old age homes and hospitals mostly require hand sanitizer products. These bottled are named under the brand Nu-X and will available for reselling purposes.

Larry Wexler, President and CEO of Turning Point Brands, claims that the company is offering support to communities where it operates, and hopes that through this initiative their firm could both help those impacted by the coronavirus outbreak and motivate others to act.

For the record, Turning Point Brands is a Kentucky-based company offering tobacco products as well as adult consumer alternatives. The company, through its focus brands, creates cash flows which is used to finance acquisitions, strengthen its capital structure, and increase brand support.
