Welltel acquires Kildare-based secure IT & cloud service provider Novi

Ireland-based end-to-end communication services provider, Welltel has recently announced the acquisition of Novi, a Kildare-based IT service firm. With the said acquisition the two companies would now be able to offer an integrated suite of secure connectivity, unified communications, phone systems, remote working, cyber security, and managed IT services, cite sources close to the matter.

As per the agreement, Novi will operate and grow as a standalone brand under Welltel’s banner, while increasing the employee strength of the Irish company to 115 and serving around 3,000 SMEs worldwide, sources claimed.

Novi’s customers will seemingly gain access to managed business communications suite of Welltel, such as business broadband as well as SD-WAN services and telephony services for Microsoft Teams.

According to industry experts, the acquisition is Welltel’s effort towards global expansion. The company had purchased ICT provider Invisitech earlier this year.

Welltel CEO Ross Murray was reported saying that the two companies have a similar work culture and share the vision of allowing growth for businesses. He added that Novi’s consistent revenue growth is based on its ability to obtain as well as retain high profile customers.

George O’Dowd, Managing Director at Novi, mentioned in a statement that the recent acquisition will enable the company to provide a secure remote working platform and help in growing within the managed security and managed services market. He further stated that the two companies will ensure state-of-the-art integrated solutions for better results to their combined customer base.

For those uninitiated, Novi is a Proactive managed IT and cybersecurity firm that provides risk management solutions for Irish enterprises. The company has introduced various products and services such as Novi CyberView, Novi AirGap, and NoviPatchGuard. It had also launched various services in order to allow for more secure remote working access for businesses both during as well as after COVID-19 restrictions.
